The EHS Corporate Compliance and Integration Manager plays an essential role in establishing and promoting a culture of safety within the organization, focusing on compliance with both internal safety policies and external regulatory requirements. This position manages the team and program that audits compliance to Corporate Policy and Best Practices across all Regions and Loenbro Business Units, ensuring that each site adheres to the highest standards of workplace safety and health.
This includes providing a high-level report of the compliance audit, creating and overseeing corrective action plans in conjunction with the Regional EHS Directors and EHS Corporate Compliance Specialists, and offering scheduled reports on the effectiveness of the plan. This position also assists the EHS Corporate Compliance and Integration Director in developing company-wide corrective action tracking and thoroughness of incident investigations, along with any identified improvements and modifications to the Corporate Compliance Program.
Responsibilities for EHS Corporate Compliance and Integration Manager:
- Audit project, site, area and regions on compliance with regulatory, company and client requirements and standards.
- Develop reporting of audit findings.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including company policies, the Site-Specific Safety Health Environmental Plan (SSSHEP), client guidelines, and relevant federal regulations (OSHA, MSHA, DOE).
- Regulatory Compliance – Perform continual monitoring of job site and work habits to ensure compliance with company and regulatory health and safety regulations. Inspections consist of, but are not limited to:
Lockout-Tagout, Required Permits and other job forms, Work Habits, Facility Inspections, and Construction Site Inspections.
- Assist Corporate EHS Integration and Compliance Director in ensuring incident investigations are thorough, accurate and complete.
- Ensure corrective actions are correct, applicable, and completed.
- Providing adequate and proper documentation and implementation of corrective actions.
- Ensuring operational management is provided with safety analytics related to incident reports, hazards, corrective actions, etc.
- Utilize KPA reporting including but not limited to Safety Alerts, Incident Investigation reports, Root Cause Analysis, etc.
- Work with operations and safety management team to determine actionable items related to incidents and enforce completion.
- Communication – Establish a firm communication system between operations and H&S by making themselves available and responsive to requests from Operational Leadership.
- Works closely with the Operations team to ensure the proper training for compliance deficiencies after auditing is performed.
- Works closely with the Operations team to facilitate and maintain a culture where safety "is who we are." Enable and facilitate a setting where the entire organization is engaged to achieve behavior based safe work excellence.
- Works constantly to assist team in continual development of human performance collaboration, communication, and teamwork.
- Acts to ensure safety team is a constructive partner with the Operations team and is a resource to Operations. Earns the Operations team's respect as a strong leader and advocate of the management team.
- Conduct inspections in accordance with the EHS Corporate Compliance Program.
- Document inspections and audits in a timely and adequate manner.
- Promptly address issues, provide solutions, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist Safety Management (Regional, Corporate, etc.) with data gathering, analytics, and creation of daily, weekly, and monthly safety meeting topics and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Engage with regulatory agencies, participate in inspections, and facilitate audits to uphold safety standards.
- Ensure proper documentation and notification of all regulatory citations and assist in implementation of corrective actions and preventative measures.
