Role Summary

The DOT Program Manager will serve as the Program Manager for overseeing and managing all aspects of the organization's Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance program. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and company regulations while supporting safe and efficient transportation operations. This position will collaborate with a team of other professionals to deliver consistent and innovative solutions that can scale for our growing company.

All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities
- Core

DOT PROGRAM MANAGEMENT FAMILY – CORE

  • Manage and maintain DOT compliance programs and processes.
  • Oversee Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
  • Ensure equipment registrations, licensing, and permits remain current and compliant.
  • Monitor daily vehicle inspection reports and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
  • Manage Hours of Service (HOS) compliance, including driver log reviews and regulatory adherence.
  • Conduct compliance audits, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with operations, safety, and fleet teams to maintain regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

  • Strong business acumen to effectively align HR and learning programs with company goals
  • Proficient at working with business leaders in a highly matrixed, complex business and ability to develop collaborative solutions to business and organizational needs
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience leading large complex projects across geographically dispersed teams
  • Highly organized and able to manage time and resources to accomplish priorities
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively facilitating multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to tailor communication to different individuals and audiences from senior executives to external speakers and partners to program participant
  • Ability to organize and track key information in a variety of formats
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered
Experience
  • 8+ years’ relevant experience in fleet management and DOT compliance(Required)
  • Experience managing DOT compliance programs, transportation operations
