Reports to:
Chief Operations Officer
The Facilities Manager reports to the Chief Experience Officer (CXO) and is responsible for all aspects of campus physical plant activities that affect the experience of employees, students, and guests. The responsibilities include overseeing janitorial services, building and grounds maintenance, transportation, school nutrition, and safety/security matters. The facilities manager will plan and manage the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

- Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.

- Hires, supervises, and trains employees in the facilities management department.
- Oversees the day-to-day workflow, scheduling, and assignments of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Their duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates.
- Maintaining day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff
- Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
- Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations.
- Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.
- Coordinates with other support departments to ensure successful production operations.
- Determines labor needs to meet production goals.
- Assists with budget preparation for operations unit.
- Assists with, or prepares and updates, organizations operations manual and policies.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- High School diploma with minimum of 7 years of directly related experience and supervising support staff
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience managing and supervising support staff.
