Job Summary
Location:
Dallas, TX - 13536 N Central Exp (DFAB) - TCM - South Building. Air Liquide provides ultra‑pure carrier gases, specialty gases, advanced precursor molecules, enabling equipment for safe distribution, purification and on‑line purity control. On‑site, manufacturers rely on our expertise in providing full management of these gases and chemical delivery equipment and in continuously improving production processes.
Total Gas & Chemical Management (TGCM) Operations group provides our semiconductor manufacturing customers with safe, reliable, and cost‑effective management of gases and chemicals. The TGCM Maintenance Technician will safely maintain and operate liquid bulk and specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment 24/7, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
Responsibilities- Perform intermediate gas/chemical troubleshooting and repair of delivery equipment.
- Perform daily rounds including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change‑outs; verify that the daily rounds are recorded.
- Determine corrective action to be taken in the event of abnormal parameters and ensure that corrective action is completed.
- Monitor and understand liquid bulk delivery procedures for each product on site.
- Perform bulk gas and chemical trailer transfers.
- Provide information for and initiate proper reporting procedures per on‑site policies, including Quality Incident Reports, product acceptance, tank fill, inventory and material usage, bulk gas analysis, analyzer calibration, monitoring, safety parameters and personnel requirements.
- Assist in identifying and resolving gas/chemical‑related manufacturing problems.
- Act as Emergency Response Team member/leader.
- Commission and start‑up specialty gas/chemical delivery equipment.
- Complete TGCM Tech 7 local OJT and qualification requirements.
- Issue hazardous work permits.
- Act as primary customer shift interface.
- Restart all high‑purity gas and/or chemical delivery equipment.
- Participate in customer and Air Liquide programs, including Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance.
- Support training of TGCM contractors and TGCM Tech 5 & 6 employees.
- Develop and maintain applicable site‑specific work instructions.
- Comply with all applicable HS&E standards, including PPE, forklift operations, lock‑out/tag‑out program, confined space entry, etc.
- Complete assigned tasks per existing procedures.
- Perform minor analytical procedures and/or sampling procedures.
- Be accountable for the safety of all persons and the general public around facilities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or 5+ years of experience.
- 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Evidence of previous work in a successful team environment.
- Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy.
- Demonstrate ability to coordinate and supervise a group of technicians on a project.
- Electro‑mechanical aptitude.
- Aptitude for controlling an emergency situation and coordinating problem‑solving actions.
- Ability to understand and abide by stringent safety rules.
- Ability to train junior technicians.
- Experience in the semiconductor or chemical/specialty gas field, military technical/electronic rating or nuclear field, or equivalent industry.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to operate hydraulic foot pump (55‑gallon drums – drums could be up to 500 lbs).
- Job requires constant bending to successfully complete shift tasks (validating information, checking systems, etc.).
- Ability to wear a respirator as part of required PPE for certain job tasks.
The hourly range for this position in Texas is $21.00.
