Overview
To lead and inspire the Stores team in executing accurate, efficient, and timely material handling across receiving, stocking, kitting, shipping, and inventory control. This role is accountable for enforcing industry’s best practices, continuous improvement through 6S and Lean principles, and driving a high-performance, safety-focused culture that supports manufacturing excellence.
Responsibilities- Provide direct supervision of all receiving, stocking, kitting, shipping and other Stores personnel. Ensure that all positions are appropriately staffed with highly motivated and qualified individuals.
- Lead by example to foster a culture of integrity, ownership, and continuous improvement; inspire and mentor team members to achieve performance excellence.
- Develop and implement structured onboarding, cross-training, and performance development plans; recognize team achievements and implement accountability practices aligned with company values.
- Maintain 98%+ inventory accuracy across Finished Goods, Subassemblies, Components, and Consignment; own daily cycle counting with root cause analysis and annual inventory planning and execution.
- Enforce precise inventory transaction standards (shipping, receiving, kitting, requisition fulfillment, stock purges, NCM, material transfers) and ensure alignment of physical inventory with Macola ERP system data.
- Partner with the Master Scheduler to ensure uninterrupted material supply to manufacturing; drive timely processing of kits, returns, and shipping activities.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to reduce cycle times and eliminate bottlenecks; implement visual management tools and dashboards to track material flow efficiency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions for all Stores operations; standardize material storage and labeling systems to improve accessibility and reduce errors.
- Lead 6S initiatives (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) and facilitate weekly SQCD and 6S meetings to identify and drive key improvement projects; apply Lean/Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste, reduce errors, and improve cycle times.
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards, provide regular safety training, and maintain a safe work environment; ensure all activities adhere to the Libra Quality Manual and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate product movement, internal routing, and van logistics; manage stores equipment and materials handling tools for peak efficiency; ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs for department personnel.
- High School Diploma.
- Proven experience in electronic manufacturing or related inventory/stores operations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on team engagement.
- Hands-on experience with inventory accuracy programs and ERP systems (Macola preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience developing new inventory processes to reduce cycle time.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- This position will work in both front and shop environments.
- In the shop, exposure to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, machines, and material handling vehicles. PPE is required in this shop area.
- Good hearing and sight; ability to walk the shop floor and lift up to 20 pounds.
