CAD Specialist – Furniture Production
Dallas, TX
Salary: 55k-70k (Direct Hire)
OverviewGraham Personnel Services is seeking a dependable, adaptable, and self-motivated CAD Specialist to join our client's Production team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the furniture industry who can translate product specifications into precise digital layouts and patterns that support efficient manufacturing and high-quality output. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and a high level of attention to detail to support cross-functional collaboration across product development and production teams.
Key Responsibilities- Create accurate layout drawings of furniture components using Gerber Accumark software
- Develop and digitize patterns for automated fabric cutting machines
- Interpret product specifications and ensure layouts meet design and production requirements
- Collaborate with product development and production teams to ensure alignment and efficiency
- Maintain precision and consistency in all digital patterns and technical documentation
- Support process improvements to enhance production accuracy and workflow efficiency
- Assist with additional production-related tasks and responsibilities as needed
- Strong foundation in CAD fundamentals
- Experience with in the furniture industry (required)
- Knowledge of fabric layout, patterning, and specifications
- Proficiency with Gerber Accumark (highly preferred)
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PDF)
- Highly detail-oriented and process-driven
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Experience with automated fabric cutting systems
- Background in upholstered furniture or textile-based products
- Degree in a related field or minimum 3+ years of CAD experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment
- A collaborative mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
