Manufacturing Engineer
Dallas, TX (Day One Onsite)
• Contract
We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to design, optimise, and support efficient production processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with production, quality, and design teams to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and ensure products are built safely, consistently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts
- Evaluate product designs for manufacturability and provide feedback to design teams
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Support new product introductions (NPI) from prototype through full production
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with quality teams on root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Select, specify, and support manufacturing equipment, tooling, and fixtures
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
- Analyse production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement
- Sheet‑metal fabrication: train employees on implementation of the sheet‑metal fabrication value stream
- Equipment set‑up, machine programming, and commissioning of lasers and press brakes for future automation
- Some copper bracing expertise and support operator training
- Supporting team for production readiness, leveraging, and updating standard work and procedures to other plants
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field with 5–8 years relevant experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in data‑analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Minitab, or similar software
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant certifications is a plus
