Job Description

Purpose

Responsible for safely loading, unloading and moving materials in the plant.

Responsibilities
  • Alert Setup Technician and Changeover Technician using the light system to keep them informed of production status.
  • Keep the work area clean and clutter‑free: pick up scrap material around the production lines and cut scrap off cores.
  • Perform quality control checks on product and ensure all are properly labeled before stacking finished product.
  • Package bags/rolls and keep accurate counts in computer system.
  • Assist the team with giving 10 and 20 minute breaks.
  • Alert Setup Techs to questions or concerns by utilizing white stack light.
  • Assemble boxes.
  • Perform quality control checks on product and labels.
  • Stack finished product.
  • Help pick up scrap around his/her lines, including change‑over rolls.
  • Remove all labels from previous job.
  • Maintain clean and clutter‑free work area, including tables, scales, and floors.
  • Weigh boxes and enter into computer system.
  • Pull resin as needed.
  • Weigh, package, and label finished product.
  • Might be used for training new person.
  • Work a 12‑hour day, 4 days a week; every other weekend is mandatory.
  • May be required to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
