JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to work with chemicals.
* Must be able to evaluate physical properties of ingredients and products.
* Must be able to work weekends and have flexibility to work overtime as needed.
* Must be able to regularly lift and / or move up to 60 pounds.
* Ability to work in cold conditions for extended periods of time.
* Must be able to work in and around loud noise levels, industrial machinery, air-conditioned environments suitable for carrying out controlled tests.
* Must interface regularly throughout the shift with multiple departments and levels of leadership.
* Must be accurate and precise in testing procedures and mix formulation calculations and have a keen sense of odors and flavors.
* Must have the ability to do basic math calculations, critical thinking, and result interpretation.
* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
* Able to operate office machinery: computers, printers, copiers, scanners
* Able to use software as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, etc.), SAP, MP2, IQS
* Experience using Lab equipment including: CEM, FT120, D-Count, Epic, Petrifilm, Lateral Flow Device, pipettors,
pH meter, refractometer, conductivity meter, microscope, incubators, etc.
* Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
* Must be able to read, write and interpret documents such as specification tables, safety rules and procedure manuals.
* Must have the ability to prioritize and organize.
* Must have decision-making abilities to determine best course of action in assessing test results.
* Must have the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
* Must possess basic computer skills; knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs required.
