We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our client. This is a hands-on role supporting manufacturing processes, daily production, continuous improvement, quality, safety, and shop-floor operations.
This position can be a great fit for a recent engineering graduate who wants to build a career in manufacturing, process improvement, and production leadership. Candidates with 1–5 years of experience are also encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do- Support and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, production methods, tooling, and fixtures.
- Work closely with production employees to help improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
- Analyze production issues related to downtime, scrap, defects, and workflow, then help implement corrective actions.
- Assist with new product introductions, equipment changes, layout improvements, and process updates.
- Participate in time studies, process capability reviews, PFMEA activities, and root cause analysis.
- Help identify ways to reduce waste, improve throughput, and create more consistent production results.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects, including kaizen activities.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, and production teams to support daily operational goals.
- Provide direction, support, and coaching to shop-floor team members as needed.
- Help ensure employees follow safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
- Assist with training, onboarding, and employee skill development.
- Participate in production meetings and provide updates on performance, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Support equipment maintenance coordination and safe equipment usage.
- Assist with cost-reduction projects involving process changes, automation, equipment, or material improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Internship, co-op, project, or hands-on manufacturing experience is a plus.
- 1–5+ years of manufacturing, process engineering, or production support experience is also a plus.
- Interest in working directly on the manufacturing floor with production employees, supervisors, and technical teams.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or root cause analysis.
- Exposure to CAD software such as Solid Works or AutoCAD is helpful.
- Familiarity with tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, time studies, or process improvement methods is preferred.
- ERP or MRP system experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well with employees at all levels of the organization.
