Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our client. This is a hands-on role supporting manufacturing processes, daily production, continuous improvement, quality, safety, and shop-floor operations.

This position can be a great fit for a recent engineering graduate who wants to build a career in manufacturing, process improvement, and production leadership. Candidates with 1–5 years of experience are also encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do
  • Support and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, production methods, tooling, and fixtures.
  • Work closely with production employees to help improve safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
  • Analyze production issues related to downtime, scrap, defects, and workflow, then help implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with new product introductions, equipment changes, layout improvements, and process updates.
  • Participate in time studies, process capability reviews, PFMEA activities, and root cause analysis.
  • Help identify ways to reduce waste, improve throughput, and create more consistent production results.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects, including kaizen activities.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, and production teams to support daily operational goals.
  • Provide direction, support, and coaching to shop-floor team members as needed.
  • Help ensure employees follow safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Assist with training, onboarding, and employee skill development.
  • Participate in production meetings and provide updates on performance, issues, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support equipment maintenance coordination and safe equipment usage.
  • Assist with cost-reduction projects involving process changes, automation, equipment, or material improvements.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field.
  • Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Internship, co-op, project, or hands-on manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • 1–5+ years of manufacturing, process engineering, or production support experience is also a plus.
  • Interest in working directly on the manufacturing floor with production employees, supervisors, and technical teams.
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, or root cause analysis.
  • Exposure to CAD software such as Solid Works or AutoCAD is helpful.
  • Familiarity with tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone, DMAIC, time studies, or process improvement methods is preferred.
  • ERP or MRP system experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well with employees at all levels of the organization.
Why This Role

This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants more than a desk-only engineering job. The role offers hands-on manufacturing exposure, process improvement work, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to grow into more responsibility over time.

If you are a recent engineering graduate or an early-career manufacturing professional looking to develop your skills in a production environment, this could be a strong next step.
