About the Role

The Fork Lift Driver plays a critical role in the manufacturing industry by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility. This position is responsible for operating forklifts to load, unload, and transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment to designated locations. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a secure working environment.

The Fork Lift Driver collaborates closely with warehouse and production teams to support seamless operations and timely delivery schedules. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to the overall productivity and operational success of the manufacturing process.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid forklift operator certification or license as required by OSHA standards.
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and material handling procedures.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, standing, and maneuvering heavy equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with different types of forklifts, including counterbalance and reach trucks.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Additional safety training or certifications related to material handling.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends if needed.
Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts to move materials, products, and equipment safely within the manufacturing facility.
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas efficiently and accurately.
  • Inspect forklifts daily to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and production staff to prioritize and fulfill material handling needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials moved and report any discrepancies or damages.
  • Assist in organizing inventory and maintaining cleanliness in the storage and loading areas.
