Responsibilities
+ Provide day-to-day support for assembly manufacturing lines, ensuring teams have the necessary tools, materials, and information to complete work correctly and efficiently.
+ Evaluate existing production processes to identify issues, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities related to quality, throughput, safety, and ergonomics.
+ Develop, update, and maintain clear and accurate work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support consistent and repeatable production.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan future layouts, equipment needs, materials flow, and processes for a second building and additional lines.
+ Lead and support capital expenditure (Cap Ex) projects, including defining requirements, evaluating options, and assisting with implementation and validation of new equipment and systems.
+ Apply lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive process optimization and waste reduction across the production lines.
+ Conduct time studies and workflow analyses to improve efficiency, balance workloads, and optimize labor and equipment utilization.
+ Perform root cause failure analysis on production issues and defects, and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurrence.
+ Use FMEA and other structured problem-solving tools to assess process risks and improve process robustness and reliability.
+ Analyze and track key performance indicators, including defect rates, production output, utilization, scrap, and yield, to support data-driven decision-making.
+ Implement and sustain 5S practices and other lean tools on the production floor to maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
+ Support the development, improvement, and standardization of processes and procedures, with a focus on enhancing existing methods while also creating new ones as needed.
+ Collaborate closely with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and process changes.
+ Participate in and lead kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, defect reduction, and productivity gains.
+ Leverage ERP systems (such as SAP) to support production planning, materials management, and performance tracking.
Essential Skills
+ Ideally 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6+ years of experience with an associate degree, or 9-10+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
+ Strong experience in manufacturing engineering within an assembly manufacturing environment.
+ Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing principles and tools.
+
Experience with Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
+ Proficiency in conducting root cause failure analysis and implementing corrective actions.
+
Experience with 5S implementation and sustaining lean practices on the production floor.
+ Demonstrated ability to perform time studies and analyze workflow for efficiency improvements.
+ Proven experience in scrap reduction, defect tracking, and process optimization.
+ FMEA experience for assessing process risks and improving reliability.
+ Experience using ERP systems, with SAP preferred.
+ Ability to analyze and track defect rates, production output, utilization rates, scrap, and yield for continuous improvement.
+ Experience supporting or managing Cap Ex projects in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong data analysis skills to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Familiarity with layout planning, equipment selection, and materials flow design for new or expanding facilities.
+ Comfort working in a growing operation with new lines and increased automation.
+ Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Ability to balance multiple priorities, including line support, process documentation, future planning, and capital projects.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $48.00/hr.
