The Production Specialist plays a key role in bringing Buff City Soap products to life. This hands‑on position is responsible for producing the soaps, detergents, bath bombs, lotions, body butters, and self‑care products our customers know and love.

Working as part of the Commissary team, you'll follow established recipes and production processes to create high‑quality products safely, efficiently, and consistently. You'll help maintain the craftsmanship and attention to detail behind every product while supporting the inventory needs of our growing business.

• Produce Buff City Soap products in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Follow production procedures to ensure consistency in product appearance, scent, texture, performance, and overall quality.
• Operate production equipment and tools safely and effectively while maintaining productivity goals.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process and communicate any issues that could impact product quality or output.
• Accurately document batch information, ingredient usage, and production records.
• Support daily and weekly production goals while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards and operating procedures.
• Assist with inventory movement, ingredient organization, and material replenishment to support efficient production flow.
• Partner closely with Production, Fulfillment, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure products are available to meet customer demand.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and overall team performance.

• 1+ year experience in production, manufacturing, food handling, cosmetics, or similar hands‑on work.
• Ability to follow precise recipes and repeat processes consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness during production.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment with seasonal volume fluctuations.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.
• Experience in handmade bath & body production or natural product manufacturing (preferred)
• Familiarity with batching logs, scale operation, and small‑batch production equipment (preferred)
• Understanding of weight‑based measurement, curing/drying processes, and ingredient safety (preferred)

• Hands‑on production environment with natural ingredients and artisan processes.
• Exposure to heat, fragrance, repetitive tasks, and standing/walking for most of the shift.
• Highly collaborative culture with shared goals across Production, Fulfillment, and Operations.
• Extended or flexible hours may be required during peak periods (holidays, promotions).
