Job Details

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Director of Product Development to lead the creation and expansion of our growing supplement portfolio. This role will be responsible for developing cutting-edge products across categories including pre-workouts, protein powders, hydration formulas, vitamins, wellness supplements, and more.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of ingredient formulation, flavor systems, market trends, and consumer behavior within the health and wellness industry. This person will play a critical role in bringing new concepts to market, improving existing products, and building a world-class product development team as the company scales.

Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end development of new supplement products from concept to commercialization
Create innovative formulations for products including:
Pre-workouts
Protein powders
Hydration and electrolyte mixes
Recovery products
Vitamins and wellness supplements
Develop and refine flavor systems to create industry-leading taste profiles and customer experiences
Research emerging ingredients, market trends, and competitive products to identify new opportunities
Collaborate with manufacturers, flavor houses, ingredient suppliers, and R&D partners
Oversee product testing, sample evaluations, and formulation optimization
Ensure products meet quality, regulatory, and compliance standards
Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, creative, and leadership teams on launches and product positioning
Manage product development timelines, costs, and vendor relationships
Build and lead a growing product development and innovation team over time
Help establish scalable systems and processes for innovation and product pipeline management

Qualifications
10+ years of experience in product development within the nutritional supplements, sports nutrition, food & beverage, or wellness industry
Strong understanding of supplement ingredients, formulation science, and flavor development
Experience developing products across powders, stick packs, capsules, gummies, or RTDs preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, ingredient sourcing, and quality standards
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to balance creativity, speed, and execution in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and building products consumers love

Preferred Qualifications
Experience formulating products for performance, fitness, hydration, recovery, or wellness categories
