Material Handler; Sprout

About the Company

Crown Technical Systems, a Flex Company, is a leader in power distribution and protection systems concentrating on sophisticated, state-of-the-art relay and control panels, medium voltage switch gear, and enclosures.

We’re looking to add a Material Handler located in Dallas, Texas. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Material Handler will be responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipment activities within our Sprout department. Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

• Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks in a safe manner.
• Verify the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; check against supplier counts and immediately report discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing department per company policy.
• Notify supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
• Stage received material and product in appropriate locations.
• Create shipping and receiving receipts within the system.
• Perform inspections on received material and product; document and refuse delivery if material and product do not meet quality standards.
• Maintain inventory management systems to ensure that orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments, as required.
• Stage product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in shipping and receiving, logistics, or any related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Solid organizational and time‑management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with cycle counting, picking and posting, and working with an MRP/ERP system.
