Position Overview

We are looking for a motivated Mold Maker/Repair professional to join our team in the South Dallas area. This position is ideal for individuals who excel in hands-on mechanical work and are eager to develop a long-term career in mold making and tooling. Working closely with our Tool Room Manager and a team of experienced professionals, you ll be pivotal in ensuring the efficiency of our production operations through effective mold maintenance, repair, and enhancement.

• Conduct preventative maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on plastic injection molds.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds post-production.
• Identify and address wear, damage, or process issues, recommending corrective actions.
• Assist with mold modifications, adjustments, and engineering changes.
• Support mold builds, tool tryouts, and production start-ups as necessary.
• Operate and assist with tool room equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Perform polishing, fitting, spotting, and bench work on mold components.
• Maintain documentation for mold maintenance, repairs, and tool performance.
• Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve tooling-related challenges.
• Ensure the tool room is clean, organized, and safe.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with injection molds, machining, or tool room equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand mold components.
• Familiarity with mills, lathes, grinders, or EDM equipment is advantageous.
• Experience in welding, polishing, or mold fitting is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Eagerness to learn and develop advanced tooling skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently and in a team.
