A manufacturing facility in Dallas, TX 75227 is hiring a Maintenance Technician for an immediate 3rd shift temp-to-hire opportunity. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with pay ranging from $27–$30 per hour depending on experience. This role requires experience in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and repair production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

You must have your own tools, be able to pass a criminal background check & drug screen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and service mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Maintain the physical structure of the facility, including pipe and electrical systems.
  • Support production operations by ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to handle stress is an essential function of the job. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Requires education generally equivalent to an associate’s degree.
  • Requires 3-5 years of experience.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
  • Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
  • Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
  • Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
  • Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools.
  • Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
