Product Development Associate - Off-Price & Private Label

Position Overview:

At Haggar Men's Apparel, we create products with purpose-combining quality, comfort, innovation, and value to strengthen our position as the market share leader in Men's Pants and Tailored Clothing and one of America's leading menswear brands.

As the Product Development Associate, you will join a small, entrepreneurial team with the opportunity to make a visible impact, build broad experience, and grow your career while learning from an experienced and highly collaborative leadership team.

Working under the direction of the head of Business Development, you will help grow the Off Price and Private Label businesses by leveraging the partnerships, tools, and innovations of the core businesses and developing commercial products that support profitable channel growth.

This role is ideal for a high-potential candidate who is energized in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn, highly organized, and motivated to creatively and collaboratively solve problems.

Essential Role Functions:

Product Development & Commercialization
  • Partner with Sales and Account teams to turn consumer needs, trends, and commercial opportunities into product priorities.
  • Manage line plans and timelines to support on-time sampling, commercialization, and launch readiness.
  • Review trim cards, fabric and color approvals, and sample garments for BOM accuracy and quality.
  • Coordinate packaging updates in partnership with Marketing.
  • Creates watch cards and fabric headers for customer presentations and sell-in.
Vendor & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Partner daily with vendors, mills, and suppliers to keep development and production on track.
  • Identify issues early and help drive practical solutions with internal and external partners.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with vendor partners to support efficient execution.
  • Support fabric and trim sourcing by initiating development and evaluating options.
Product Data & Process Execution
  • Manage style set-up and product data in ERP and PLM to support costing, development, and production.
  • Initiate production workflows for new orders through the ERP system with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Create BOMs in PLM for new, carryover, and replenishment styles with complete, accurate information.
  • Create packaging and packing manuals in PLM aligned with timelines and customer requirements.
  • Maintain organized libraries for fabrics, trims, packaging, and samples.

Minimum Qualifications:
