Bilingual Manufacturing Operations Engineer
Reports To: VP of Operations
Location: Lewisville, TX (with occasional local travel)
Position SummaryWe are seeking a Bilingual Manufacturing Operations Engineer who thrives in a hands‑on environment and wants to make a visible impact on the production floor. This role plays a key part in improving day‑to‑day manufacturing performance by partnering closely with production teams, refining processes, and ensuring accurate production data.
You’ll be actively involved in both operations and data—helping drive efficiency, strengthen labor visibility, and support better decision‑making across manufacturing and estimating functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Support & Process Execution (Primary Focus)
- Spend significant time on the shop floor observing processes and supporting production teams
- Assist in improving manufacturing workflows, efficiency, and throughput
- Conduct time studies and help maintain accurate labor standards
- Identify basic process inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements
- Support implementation of standard work and general shop floor organization efforts
- Assist with plant layout updates and documentation using AutoCAD
- Partner with supervisors and operators to troubleshoot production challenges
- Support new product introductions by helping validate processes and workflows
- Help maintain accurate routings, labor standards, and Bills of Material (BOMs) in ERP/MRP systems
- Support updates to production and cost data used for quoting and estimating
- Communicate observed process changes that may impact labor or production costs
- Assist in gathering and analyzing production data for reporting and decision‑making
- Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment between production processes and cost assumptions
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field preferred
- Equivalent hands‑on manufacturing experience will be considered
- 2‑4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (metal, wood, or similar preferred)
- Exposure to time studies, labor tracking, or process improvement in a production setting
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, routings, or BOMs is a plus
- Experience supporting production teams or working on the shop floor
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with production and office teams
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on, fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Problem‑solving mindset with a practical, team‑oriented approach
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to stand and walk on the manufacturing floor for extended periods
- Ability to observe and document production processes
- Occasional local travel between nearby facilities (Lewisville and Flower Mound)
- Potential for international travel as needed
