Job SummaryPosition:
Production Lead (South Dallas). The role leads the production floor, mentors team members, ensures product quality, meets production goals, and supports the Senior Lead and Branch Manager. The Production Lead also back‑ups operators and performs basic office duties.
- Coordinate production orders and delegate job tasks to staff.
- Serve as support and “go‑to” source for production staff when direction is needed.
- Partner with Senior Lead & Branch Manager to set measurable production standards.
- Assist with branch initiatives to cross‑train and onboard new employees.
- Mentor and coach production staff.
- Support or conduct safety meetings and on‑site training as needed.
- Update systems with production data and reports.
- Operate laminator to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Basic machine troubleshooting; maximize product output daily.
- Interact with transportation, sales, and planning teams.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area; report concerns to management.
- Recognize substandard product per quality expectations.
- Accurately cut rolls on bandsaw; measure; convert SF to roll.
- Coordinate and learn inventory reports; support EOM policies.
- Adhere to all safety and PPE policies.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Proven track record of good attendance and punctuality.
- Bi‑lingual required.
- Safety shoes required.
- Average office and computer skills.
The job is performed in a non‑climate‑controlled environment with moderate noise. Requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, climbing stairs or ladders up to 15 ft., balancing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, reading and speaking. Must lift or move up to 50 lbs with assistance.
CompensationBase salary range: $13.00 – $30.00 per hour. Actual offer depends on experience and qualifications.
