Job Title: Specialist I Manufacturing - Sensor Assembly
Location: On-Site, Dallas, TX
Employment Type: Contract to Perm
Industry: Defense and Aerospace
Compensation: $22.00/hr
Schedule: 1st shift - 6:00am-3:30pm (every other Friday off) for approx. 6 months with possibility of moving to either 2nd shift or weekend shift
About the Opportunity: Join a hands-on engineering team where you'll perform precision electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting on advanced electronic systems. In this role, you'll work with detailed technical drawings, small-scale components, and specialized tools to deliver high-quality, reliable products in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. Ideal candidates bring strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a background in complex assembly.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced electro-mechanical assembly, including prep, mechanical builds, harnesses, cables, PCB sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection within a production environment
- Execute precision assembly, rework, and testing on complex electronic systems, working with small-scale and near-microscopic components
- Interpret and follow blueprints, process flow instructions, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications to ensure accurate builds
- Perform soldering and component installation to contract specifications using a wide range of tools and equipment
- Troubleshoot, test, and support prototype and production units to ensure performance, quality, and reliability
- Work with precision tools, wiring, chemicals, and epoxy while adhering to strict safety and regulatory standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet production deadlines, maintain quality standards, and ensure efficient workflow
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical-mechanical assembly
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with small-scale / precision tools
- Excellent manual dexterity
- Experience with microscopes
- Strong attention to detail
- Good vision (critical for precision work)
- Experience handling chemicals, epoxy, and wiring
- Experience in troubleshooting and partition testing
- Ability to follow detailed processes to ensure quality and accuracy
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. less than 5% per week, standing or walking 50% of the time
