About the Opportunity

Concentric Corporation is conducting a confidential search for an experienced Senior MES Specialist to join a growing manufacturing organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a technical leader who enjoys improving manufacturing technology, optimizing production systems, and partnering with operations to drive efficiency across multiple facilities.

This role will serve as the primary technical resource for the organization’s Manufacturing Execution System (MES) environment while providing leadership to a Junior EDI Engineer. The ideal candidate combines deep manufacturing systems knowledge with strong technical expertise in databases, servers, system integrations, and manufacturing applications.

Location:
Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

Travel:
Approximately 25% (One week per month)

Position Overview

The Senior MES Specialist will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise Manufacturing Execution Systems across multiple manufacturing facilities. Working closely with operations, engineering, and IT leadership, this individual will troubleshoot system issues, lead upgrades and improvements, and ensure manufacturing technology continues to operate reliably and efficiently.

This position also provides technical leadership for manufacturing systems initiatives while mentoring a Junior EDI Engineer and helping shape future manufacturing technology strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support, maintain, and optimize enterprise Manufacturing Execution Systems across multiple manufacturing facilities
  • Troubleshoot system issues, performance bottlenecks, and production disruptions to minimize operational downtime
  • Lead MES upgrades, enhancements, patches, and system improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, engineering, and IT teams to improve system performance and reliability
  • Support backend infrastructure including servers, databases, system architecture, and application integrations
  • Develop and implement scalable solutions that improve manufacturing efficiency and system performance
  • Support Plant Applications (Plant Apps) and other manufacturing software critical to daily operations
  • Utilize SQL Server to support reporting, data management, troubleshooting, and system optimization
  • Document system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and operational best practices
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement across manufacturing technology
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a Junior EDI Engineer
  • Travel approximately one week per month to support manufacturing facilities and technology initiatives
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Years of

Experience:

8+ years of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) experience within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements for Position
  • Extensive experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems in a production environment
  • 5+ years of experience supporting GE Plant Applications (Plant Apps) or similar MES platforms
  • Strong SQL Server experience, including database troubleshooting and performance optimization
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and production workflows
  • Experience supporting servers, databases, system architecture, and enterprise integrations
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience working directly with manufacturing operations and technical teams
  • Ability to diagnose workflow inefficiencies and implement long‑term solutions
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills
