Job Description Overview

The Travel Assembler will perform difficult electronic or mechanical assembly and installation tasks. This position involves the assembly of systems, equipment, or complex devices. May work in the absence of established procedures. This position will be primarily assembling equipment at home location.
Up to 25% travel will be required
for extended stays.
Home Location - need to be willing to work in both Dallas to Richardson depending on the assignments given. Eventually, we will only be in Richardson at E Lookout Drive.
Responsibilities- Performs difficult electronic or mechanical assembly operations in test or at a remote site environment where a high degree of versatility and skill is essential, occasionally in the absence of established procedures. Emphasis on the wiring of the system including Fiber, Control, Network, and Power
- Performs all tasks required in the electronic or mechanical assembly and installation processes in order to take a product from the initial stages through final assembly
- Performs tasks and operates with premium skills, utilizing necessary tools and equipment in assigned areas, ensuring maximum product quality on complex electronic or mechanical assemblies
- Solder, assemble, route and secure wiring/cables into subassemblies such as panels and cabinets
- Reads, understands, schematics, engineering drawings, wire lists and sketches
- Will perform the assembly of equipment, system wiring, verification, alignment of components, adjustment and calibration of the electro/mechanical portions of most complex equipment

- It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
- 4 years of related assembly and wiring experience
- Must have thorough knowledge of assembly and wiring techniques with understanding of assembly theory
- Prefer High School diploma or equivalent GED. Requires good mathematical ability and the ability to read and understand schematics and mechanical drawings
- Active or recently active DoD issued Secret Clearance
- Accomplish varying degrees of precision and control in work, where damage / scrap could be of considerable loss
- Calculate measurements easily using shop mathematics
This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury so some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds (with assistance) is required.
Role will require a pre-employment background screening including a credit and DMV check
