What’s a typical day as Stick-Pack Machine Operator? You’ll be:
  • Operating and tending stick-pack packaging machines under the direction of the Production Manager.
  • Following all Good Manufacturing Practices, health, and hygiene procedures including proper gowning and glove changes.
  • Cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas according to approved procedures.
  • Monitoring machine flow, speed, temperature, and inspecting finished products for quality and specification adherence.
  • Removing finished packaged items, separating rejected items, and replenishing packaging supplies as needed.
  • Troubleshooting machine jams, reporting malfunctions, and calling maintenance for equipment issues.
  • Accurately following batch production records and performing spot checks for quality assurance.
  • Cooperating with co-workers and supervisors, and maintaining excellent attendance.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Can speak, read, and write in English.
  • Are able to stand and walk on hard surfaces for up to 4 hours at a time and perform repetitive movements (kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting).
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as ear plugs, gloves, lab coat, hair net, and face mask.
  • Have a High School diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Are detail-oriented, safety-minded, and able to follow procedures precisely.
