This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the production equipment and plant facility conscientiously and reliably, consistent with Company standards. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in developing and managing Maintenance systems and activities to ensure excellent food-safe products while maximizing equipment uptime. Will ensure compliance to company policies, safety standards, federal and state environmental standards, and regulations and drive industry best practices, including PM and Environmental programs.

This position is a direct report to the Plant President of Operations.

• Startup and operate production machinery and equipment
• Respond promptly to calls at the production lines
• Participation in facility maintenance and preventive maintenance programs
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and any unsafe condition
• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines
• Diagnose problems, repair, and achieve to root cause analysis
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities
• Perform a variety of preventative maintenance on machine parts, pumps, motors, hydraulic systems, and related plant and facility equipment
• Rebuild and fabricate parts

• Completes work orders and responds to maintenance calls promptly
• Inventories spare parts and reports usage; suggests re-orders to Manager
• Performs basic repairs within office facility on furniture, lighting, and other systems within the facility
• Maintains neat and orderly work area; properly maintains tools
• Troubleshooting identifying worn parts & rebuilding machine assemblies, pumps, meters, valves, valve actuators, and other equipment
• Basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis

• Self-motivated, confident, energetic and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
• Technically oriented, comfortable around machinery and plant environment
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization and outside of the organization.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to work well under pressure with multiple projects and deadlines
