Machinist II

Dal‑Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is seeking an experienced Machinist II to provide advanced machining support by producing, repairing, and fabricating precision metal parts for manufacturing equipment.

$2,000 Sign‑on Bonus

1st SHIFT – Monday to Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm

• Create, repair, and fabricate precision metal parts used in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Operate manual milling machines, lathes, and other machine shop equipment according to blueprint specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate precision parts.
• Perform precision measurements using machinist tools and inspection equipment.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend practical repair solutions.
• Perform welding (Stick, TIG, and MIG) as needed to support equipment repair and fabrication.
• Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keep supervisor informed of work progress and any problem areas.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Knowledge of common metal properties.
• 3 or more years of industrial machinist experience.

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Accurate measurement capability.
• Good math skills.
• Knowledge of word processors and spreadsheets.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to differentiate between various colors.
• Ability to apply quality audit procedures and defect analysis in ceramic tile.

• Strong leadership and team‑building skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and operate manual machining equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may sit, climb, or balance, talk or hear. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
