Location: Dallas, TX
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
Schedules:Monday – Friday (6 AM – 2:30 PM) (4 PM – 12:30 AM)

Job Duties

  • Cut material in preparation for fabrication or processing.
  • Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
  • Assist machine operators (press brake, punch press, and laser) with loading and unloading items from the machines.
  • Assist welders with structural welds by holding materials in place.
  • Transfer raw materials, finished products, tools, or equipment between work areas on the production floor using powered equipment (ex., forklifts).
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in the manufacturing, fabrication, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain productivity and consistent quality.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate basic production equipment when required.
  • Dependable attendance, teamwork, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

As a Shop Helper you will support daily manufacturing operations by assembling products, operating production equipment, inspecting finished goods, packaging materials, maintaining production standards, and following established work instructions. You will help keep production areas clean and organized, monitor product quality, meet production goals, and contribute to safe, efficient manufacturing operations.
