Safety And Production Manager

Create and maintain a safe work environment through employee buy-in. Identify hazards and act proactively to minimize hazards, investigate incidents and participate in corrective actions. Provide leadership on the production floor and achieve excellence in safety, health, environmental, and quality. Teach, coach, correct, train and cheerlead employees in safety, quality and production through excellent communication skills and machine knowledge. Become the most knowledgeable person regarding the facility machinery.

Ensure best practices are being followed to minimize waste at machine centers. Address key issues and concerns to ensure excellent quality and on-time delivery. Identify repairs needed at machine centers and create work orders for completion. Make recommendations to improve safety, quality, production and customer satisfaction. Monitor production progress to eliminate waste and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedule.

Plan, assign, and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback through regularly-scheduled crew meetings and annual evaluations. Willing and able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.

Experience required includes three years of supervisory experience, five years of experience operating corrugated converting machines, three years of experience using Microsoft Office, and five years of experience in manufacturing.
