• Start up, run, and shut down extrusion lines for bubble‑wrap film.
• Stage and load resin, blends, and additives; verify correct materials and mix ratios.
• Perform roll changes and product changeovers efficiently.
• Continuously watch line performance and product appearance; adjust settings for stability and output.
• Resolve bubble breaks, wrinkles, jams, poor clarity, and die lines quickly; elevate higher‑level mechanical issues to the Production Supervisor, Production Manager, or Plant Maintenance Tech/Manager via Maintenance work orders.
• Carry out routine maintenance: die cleaning, screen changes, filter replacements.
• Keep your area clean and free of tripping hazards; complete end‑of‑shift housekeeping.
• Follow Pratt Industries Safety rules and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices); block any nonconforming product from shipping.
• Drive efficiency and minimize waste/downtime while holding product quality to the highest standard—never trading quality for speed.
• Coach and assist other extrusion Machine Operators on setups, downtime reduction, and quality.
• Accurately record Production Data, Machine Operational Status, Safety Data, and Quality Data.
• Honor all policies and procedures, including safety and good housekeeping.
• Execute the production schedule; propose improvements to meet cost, quality, and service goals; notify your Supervisor of unusual scheduling issues.
• Support customer demand through overtime as needed, sometimes with short notice, including occasional holidays in a 24x7 environment.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: background in packaging (paper, plastics, converting); 1+ year operating cast‑film extrusion equipment; experience with production software such as Vorne.
• Ability to excel in a fast‑paced setting with frequent product/job changes; adaptable and efficient through changeovers.
• Language: read and follow safety, quality, and job packet instructions.
• Math: read a tape measure with speed and accuracy; compute percentages, measurements, volume, and rate; use metric units.
• Reasoning: translate written/oral/graphic instructions into action and solve problems in real time.
• Certification: eligibility to obtain and maintain a Pratt Lift Truck Operator License.

• Physical demands: stand, walk, talk/hear regularly; frequent hand use and reaching; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally push/pull up to 130 lbs with tools/machinery; vision—close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
• Work environment: moving mechanical parts (some extremely hot), wet/humid conditions; occasional high, precarious places; fumes/airborne particles; vibration; loud noise.

• Zero safety incidents and strict adherence to GMPs.
• Consistent film clarity and bubble integrity with minimal scrap.
• Fast, accurate changeovers and thorough documentation.
• Collaborative training and knowledge‑sharing with peers.

• You should be proficient in:
  Plastic Extrusion Experience;
  Blow Molding Experience.
• Machines & technologies you'll use:
  Extrusion Machine.
