Mechanical Assembler

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Dallas, TX for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This position involves the precise installation and fitting of mechanical parts and subassemblies for data center enclosures. You will be expected to interpret technical schematics, adhere to strict safety and quality guidelines, and assist in resolving production challenges or performing minor repairs as needed.

We offer overtime opportunities for both shifts. The first shift runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM at a rate of $20/hr, while the second shift operates Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM at a rate of $21/hr.

• Analyze and utilize blueprints, technical diagrams, and assembly documentation to guide your work.
• Construct mechanical frames, panels, brackets, and various enclosure components to meet exact design requirements.
• Execute tasks such as drilling, tapping, fastening, and aligning components to ensure structural integrity.
• Operate various power tools, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment with a focus on safe handling.
• Install mechanical support systems, including hinges, rails, and hardware, into final assemblies.
• Confirm that all parts are placed accurately and within specified tolerances using measurement tools.
• Prepare materials and subassemblies to help streamline the production workflow.
• Adjust and modify components as necessary to satisfy engineering specifications.
• Help maintain high quality standards by identifying and reporting any defective materials or production errors.
• Contribute to the resolution of mechanical issues by assisting with necessary rework.
• Complete all required work orders and production logs with high accuracy.
• Ensure every finished assembly aligns with customer expectations and internal quality benchmarks.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by keeping your station clean and organized.
• Work alongside engineers and fellow technicians to ensure project deadlines are met consistently.
• Support the team by organizing workstations and managing material inventory as required.

• A high school diploma or GED is necessary, with vocational or technical schooling considered a plus.
• Ideally, you possess one to three years of background in industrial or manufacturing assembly.
• You must be capable of understanding and applying information from mechanical blueprints and assembly guides.
• Proficiency in the use of torque tools, power tools, and various measuring devices is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a meticulous eye for detail are essential for high‑quality output.
• Previous experience working with metal fabrication or electrical enclosures is highly desirable.
• You must be able to stand for long durations and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills are vital for team success.
• You should be comfortable working autonomously within a high‑speed manufacturing setting.
