This is a temp-to-hire position.

Teledyne Cable Solutions (TCS) is comprised of Storm Cable and Vari Systems, an integrated alliance supplying engineered solutions to challenging cable situations.

Runs Wire & Cable machines such as extruders, braiders, stripers, bunchers, planetary, re-spoolers, and twinners by performing the following duties.

• Set‑up and operation of machines in accordance to written work instruction and safety protocols.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Pushes button or switch to activate machine once set up is complete and verified.
• Observes machine operation to detect machine malfunction and monitor cable quality throughout the process.
• Trouble shooting process problems.
• Willing to receive and provide cross‑training in all machine operations.

• Ability to review and comprehend documentation, processes and/or product with high level of detail.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Familiarity with measuring tools; micrometer, caliper, measuring tape etc.
• Looks for ways to improve and promote quality;
  Applies feedback to improve performance;
  Monitors own work to ensure quality.
• Is consistently at work and on time and arrives at meetings and appointments on time
• Follows instructions, responds to management direction;
  Commits to extended work hours when necessary to reach goals

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment background check as a condition of employment.

Target Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Requires ability to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to grip and feel and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish colors. Use of safety glasses and safety toe shoes required.

Core work schedule of 2pm-10:45pm Monday - Friday with availability for OT M-Sa.
