Shelton Group, a leading public relations and investor relations firm specializing in the technology sector, is expanding our team and seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented professional to join our PR practice. The Shelton Group PR team serves as a trusted partner and strategic consultant, helping clients create, evolve, promote and protect their brands and reputations in competitive markets. We work with companies across all stages of growth and development.

POSITION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and assist with client account strategy, including brainstorming and campaign planning
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships and ensure effective execution of PR initiatives
  • Draft client materials, including press releases, media materials, and traditional and digital content; edit internal and external communications
  • Build and maintain media lists; pitch stories to relevant outlets
  • Track, generate, and report on media and influencer coverage
  • Prepare account service documents, such as agendas and reports (weekly, quarterly)
  • Participate in and document client meetings and conference calls
REQUIRED SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS
  • Proven ability to pitch media and analysts
  • Established relationships with industry publications
  • Experience interfacing with C-Suite executives
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Expert knowledge of AP Style
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Muck Rack, and other relevant software
  • Some travel is expected to meet with clients or attend events
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in an agency or corporate PR environment
