Vogo is seeking a hands-on, data-driven Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead the next stage of our growth and own the company's growth and brand engines end-to-end. As the senior-most marketing and growth leader in the business, you will own a profit-and-loss line for growth and be responsible for translating marketing investment into durable, profitable revenue while continuing to build and strengthen the Vogo brand.
You will own and oversee the full growth funnel across both web and app experiences, including paid acquisition across search, social, affiliate, metasearch, and hotel ads, as well as lifecycle marketing, retention, SEO, organic growth, brand, and the attribution and measurement infrastructure that ties it all together.
You will inherit a lean, high-performing team and a sophisticated, data-driven acquisition engine, and will be expected to both set the strategy and lead its execution. Throughout, you will champion AI and automation to streamline workflows, accelerate creative development and experimentation, and extend the reach and effectiveness of the team.
The ideal candidate combines exceptional growth marketing expertise with a builder mindset: pragmatic, ownership-driven, and excited to make a measurable impact.
This role reports directly to the CEO, serves as a member of the executive leadership team, and is a full-time hybrid position based in Dallas.
Roles and Responsibilities- Growth P&L Ownership:
Own the growth P&L and overall growth performance, investing across channels and markets that meet return targets and scaling them as long as they remain profitable. Provide performance reporting, forecasts, and recommendations directly to the CEO and Board - Performance Marketing:
Lead a high-volume, multi-channel acquisition engine across paid search, paid social, affiliates, metasearch, hotel advertising, and emerging channels, leveraging best-in-class infrastructure, profit-based bidding, and rigorous measurement - Full-Funnel Growth Strategy:
Define and execute acquisition and retention strategies across paid, owned, and earned channels in every market Vogo operates, balancing both paid and organic growth initiatives - Lifecycle Marketing, Retention & CRO:
Increase repeat bookings and customer lifetime value through lifecycle marketing, CRM, and conversion rate optimization initiatives across the customer journey in partnership with Product - Brand & Communications:
Own Vogo's brand strategy, positioning, voice, and market narrative while leading creative development, communications, and public relations efforts - Growth Infrastructure & AI:
Own the marketing technology stack, including attribution, conversion tracking, first-party data, and measurement systems, while continuing to develop and expand Vogo's proprietary AI-powered marketing capabilities alongside Product and Engineering - Agency & Partner Management:
Lead relationships with external agencies and vendors across SEO, creative, and other marketing functions, setting clear performance expectations and determining the right balance between in-house and outsourced capabilities - Team Leadership & Talent Development:
Lead, mentor, and selectively scale the marketing organization by recruiting exceptional talent, setting a high performance bar, and creating the operating cadence that allows a lean team to outperform its size - Cross-Functional Leadership:
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Business Intelligence, Partnerships, and Finance teams to improve the end-to-end customer journey, run continuous experimentation, and translate growth insights into product and business decisions
- 10+ years of experience in growth, performance marketing, or marketing leadership roles, with a proven track record of owning and scaling growth and marketing functions at meaningful scale
- Deep expertise in performance marketing, particularly paid search acquisition, built on modern, machine-learning-driven fundamentals
- Demonstrated P&L ownership: you have been accountable for a budget and for the profit, with an instinct for unit economics and the directive of profitable growth
