Role Description

The Social Media and Marketing Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging social media content that reflects the brand’s voice and celebrates the joy of mahjong. Day-to-day tasks include developing and executing social media campaigns, writing captions and short-form copy, monitoring social channels, and responding to community interactions.

The associate will also support the planning, launch, and ongoing management of paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google, Tik Tok, and other digital channels, including monitoring performance, testing creative and audiences, and identifying opportunities to improve results. The associate will support broader marketing initiatives such as email campaigns, promotions, partnerships, and events, while tracking performance metrics and suggesting improvements.

Collaboration with the founders and creative team is central to this role, ensuring consistent storytelling across platforms and helping grow brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including clear, inclusive written and verbal communication.
• Experience with Social Media Content Creation and Social Media, including planning, posting, and community management.
• Knowledge of Social Media Marketing, with the ability to support campaigns and measure performance.
• Experience managing paid digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Tik Tok Ads, or similar platforms, including campaign setup, audience targeting, budget management, creative testing, performance monitoring, and optimization.
• Comfort working with key advertising metrics such as ROAS, CPA, CPC, CPM, CTR, conversion rate, and revenue attribution.
• Solid Writing skills for captions, product descriptions, emails, and marketing materials.
• Familiarity with visual content tools (e.g., Canva, basic photo/video editing) and an eye for aesthetics.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, content calendars, and advertising campaigns.
• Interest in games, lifestyle, or consumer products; enthusiasm for learning mahjong is a plus.
• Previous experience in marketing, social media, digital advertising, or a related field; coursework or a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a similar discipline is beneficial.
