About the role
Strong Steps Behavioral Health is seeking a creative and motivated Web Developer & Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This position will play an important role in building and maintaining our digital presence while helping the organization connect with individuals, families, community partners, donors, volunteers, and supporters.
Working closely with the Executive Director and Outreach & Development team
, this role combines hands-on Word Press website management with digital marketing, social media, content development, and community outreach .
We are looking for someone who can take an idea and turn it into an effective webpage, digital campaign, social media post, email, event promotion, or other online experience. As Strong Steps continues to grow, this person will have an opportunity to help shape our digital presence and how our organization communicates with the community.
What you'll do- Manage, maintain, and regularly update the Strong Steps Word Press website .
- Create new webpages and landing pages for programs, services, events, fundraising campaigns, careers, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives.
- Work with Word Press themes, plugins, page builders, forms, menus, and website integrations.
- Troubleshoot website errors, broken links, formatting issues, plugin conflicts, and other basic technical problems.
- Ensure webpages are responsive and work properly on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Help improve website accessibility, usability, performance, and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Integrate online forms, registration systems, donation platforms, email sign-ups, and other third-party tools.
- Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns to increase awareness of Strong Steps programs and community initiatives.
- Create and schedule content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Linked In.
- Develop graphics, flyers, website banners, social media content, event materials, and other digital marketing assets.
- Create email marketing campaigns, newsletters, community announcements, and event promotions.
- Support digital marketing for fundraising campaigns, community events, volunteer recruitment, partnerships, and organizational initiatives.
- Help maintain consistent Strong Steps branding, messaging, graphics, and visual standards across digital platforms.
- Monitor website traffic, social media engagement, email performance, and other marketing analytics.
- Recommend new ideas and strategies to improve online engagement and community awareness.
- Coordinate with leadership and program staff to ensure website and marketing information remains accurate and up to date.
- Assist with other communications, marketing, website, and outreach projects as the organization grows.
- Hands‑on experience using Word Press is required.
- Experience building, editing, and maintaining Word Press websites.
- Experience working with Word Press themes, plugins, menus, forms, and page layouts.
- Experience with digital marketing, communications, social media management, or a related area.
- Ability to create professional and engaging digital content.
- Experience managing or creating content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Linked In.
- Strong written communication, proofreading, and editing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent branding.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and troubleshoot problems.
- Comfortable learning and working with new technology and digital platforms.
- Experience with Elementor or another Word Press page builder .
- Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar graphic design tools.
- Knowledge of SEO and website optimization.
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite or other social media management platforms.
- Experience creating email marketing campaigns and newsletters.
- Experience with online fundraising, event registration, CRM, or donation platforms.
- Photography, video editing, or short-form video content experience is a plus.
- Previous experience working with a nonprofit, behavioral health organization, healthcare organization, or community-based organization is a plus.
A college degree in marketing, communications, web development, graphic design, information technology, or a related field is welcomed but not required . We value demonstrated experience, creativity, technical ability, reliability, and a willingness to grow with our organization.
