Responsibilities- Identify activists across the Greater Dallas market who are current or potential leaders, and motivate them to advocate for change.
- Equip local leaders to advocate for changes aligned with LIBRE principles, connecting them to training and other resources.
- Organize events such as phone calls, social media outreach, and neighborhood walks to engage the public and educate on policy issues.
- Maintain regular contact with activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active.
- Manage part‑time canvassing contractors, ensuring time management, compliance with laws, and best practices.
- Canvass neighborhoods and make phone calls for LIBRE and AFP priority initiatives, and motivate volunteers to do the same.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
- Passion for people, ability to build relationships quickly with people from all walks of life, and understand how to inspire and motivate them.
- Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes.
- Self‑motivation and a strong sense of time‑management toward objectives.
- Organization skills to keep multiple events and activities on track.
- Team work, collaborating with LIBRE staff and activists.
- A valid driver’s license for travel as needed.
- Willingness to work a flexible and changing schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Experience in grassroots advocacy, community organization, and/or political campaigns.
- Volunteer or staff supervisory experience.
