The CHRISTUS Community Impact Corps Program, in partnership with Ameri Corps, strengthens the health system's capacity to address priority community needs through data-informed planning, effective communication, and sustainable program development. The program places Community Impact VISTA Members at CHRISTUS Health ministries to support local Community Impact efforts aligned with broader system priorities.
Beginning in September 2026, CHRISTUS Health will place one full‑time Ameri Corps VISTA Member for a one‑year term of service within CHRISTUS Southeast Texas. The VISTA Member will focus on a distinct capacity‑building area while collaborating with ministry leaders, Community Impact teams, and key organizational partners. Assignments are non‑duplicative, do not replace staff roles, and focus on building sustainable systems, processes, and resources that strengthen the ministry's ability to address healthcare access, food insecurity, and other needs affecting low‑income individuals and families.
Duties :
We are seeking three Ameri Corps VISTA Members to support CHRISTUS Health’s Community Impact work through capacity‑building service roles. Members will strengthen how community health efforts are communicated, measured, and sustained by supporting communications and engagement, data systems and reporting, and community health program planning, documentation, and evaluation to improve effectiveness, alignment, and long‑term impact.
