Aboutthe OpportunityWe are seeking aSenior Director of Engagement and Stewardship who is an exceptional relationship builder and believes generosity begins with connection.
This role will help members deepen their relationship with PHPC, understand the impact of their generosity, and find meaningful ways to connect their interests and passions with the life and work of the church.
The Senior Director will lead annual stewardship efforts, support PHPC’s capital campaign, manage key member and donor relationships, and strengthen the systems and practices that support engagement, gratitude, and long-term generosity.
What You’ll Do- Build andmaintainmeaningful relationships with members, families, and others connected to the PHPC community.
- Lead annual stewardship initiatives and support capital campaign activities.
- Create thoughtful opportunities for member engagement, recognition, gratitude, and giving.
- Connect members’ interests, experiences, and passions with opportunities toparticipatein the life and work of PHPC.
- Manage a portfolio of member and donor relationships with intentional communication and follow-through.
- Partner with the Senior Pastor to prepare for and follow up on major and campaign gift conversations.
- Support donor pipeline management, campaign communications, gatherings, volunteer coordination, and stewardship for PHPC’s capital campaign.
- Strengthen the systems, data, and practices that support an excellent member and donor experience.
- Five or more years of experience in development, advancement, philanthropy, stewardship, or relationship management.
- A natural relationship builder who enjoys connecting with people and learning what matters to them.
- Experience managing donor relationships, stewardship programs, annual giving, capital campaigns, or similar efforts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organization, judgment, discretion, and follow-through.
- Experience with donor databases or CRM systems.
- Experience supporting a major capital campaign is strongly preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience in a church, faith-based organization, or member-driven nonprofit is helpful but not required. We welcome candidates who can bring their professional talents to PHPC’s work of building community, strengthening relationships, and creating meaningful impact.
