Visitor Services Associate

The Green Family Art Foundation, a non-profit foundation based in Dallas, Texas, is seeking to fill the role of Visitor Services Associate at their exhibition space. Founded by Dallas-based collectors, the Green Family Art Foundation celebrates the dynamic and diverse voices found in contemporary art through public exhibition. Believing in the importance of bringing art and people together, the Green Family Art Foundation presents three exhibitions per year, featuring works by international emerging and established artists.

All programing is free and open to the public.

The successful candidate for this position will be hard-working, self-motivated and outgoing. Additionally, they will have strong organizational and communication skills.

• This is a part-time position
• Wednesday through Friday: 11am – 5pm
• Saturday and Sunday: 11am – 6pm

• During regular hours and special events, the Visitor Services Associate ensure that the exhibition space is clean and that visitors follow the rules.
• They are responsible for monitoring and keeping artwork safe while the exhibition is open.
• They greet visitors, answer questions and maintain guestbook entries and tracking visitor counts.
• Must be personable, knowledgeable about artists and exhibits.
• Open and close the space according to security protocols.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with Green Family Foundation and collection staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Hourly pay
• Work computer and phone provided (to remain at the foundation exhibition space)

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university, preferred
• Background in art history, fine art, museum, galleries or auction houses, preferred
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office:
  Outlook, Word, Excel
• Ability to pass a drug and criminal background check and provide academic transcripts
