Forefront Living is staffed by more than 700 extraordinary individuals who provide extraordinary care and services. Each teammate uniquely contributes to the success of the Forefront Living family and its ability to further its mission.

For over 40 years, the Forefront Living Foundation has raised, invested, and distributed funds to advance the mission and support the goals of the Forefront Living family. Through the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporate partners, the Foundation provides programs and initiatives that allow seniors, families, children, and the teammates who care for them to thrive in every season of life.

From charitable care and life-enriching services in senior living communities to support for families and caregivers and programs that help teammates grow, every gift helps create moments of compassion, connection, and hope. Specifically, the Foundation’s giving pillars are Benevolent Care, Integrated Therapies, Spiritual Care, Life Enrichment, Teammate Education, Development & Assistance, and Community Support.

Buoyed by a successful endowment campaign, generous gifts, thoughtful fundraising platforms, and sound investment strategies, the Foundation has grown to $80 million. The Foundation’s ongoing goals include growing exponentially, impacting more lives, creating more extraordinary differences, and making more moments that matter.

The Foundation’s Each Moment Matters Luncheon is a highlight of the giving year and honors individuals in the community who are making an extraordinary difference in the lives of others. The funds raised at the luncheon benefit the Forefront Living Foundation Caring Fund that provides charitable care, children’s grief support, end-of-life therapies, and specialized clinical inpatient services.

The Philanthropy Officer Major Gifts works collaboratively with all members of the Forefront Living Foundation and its senior living communities by maintaining and strengthening relationships with major gift donors, including individuals and foundations. This includes responsibility for developing and maintaining effective relationships to support Forefront Living programs.

Reporting to the Forefront Living Foundation’s Executive Director, the Philanthropy Officer – Major Gifts will:

• Demonstrate a service-oriented attitude, proactively solving problems and contributing to team success while upholding quality standards.
• Exhibit the organization's values of Diversity, Integrity, Stewardship, and Compassion in daily tasks and interactions with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with major donors, working alongside the Executive Director.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to manage sponsor ships and annual giving donations that align with Major Gift designation.
• Identify and nurture prospects, record actions in Raiser’s Edge, and follow up appropriately.
• Manage a portfolio of 100-125 active donors and prospects, conducting up to 200 contacts annually.
