Job Summary and Qualifications
The Nurse Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Blood Cancer and Stem Cell Unit, ensuring the delivery ofhigh-quality patient care, staff leadership, and operational efficiency.This is aco-manager role, working alongside another leader to manage the unit effectively. The ideal candidate will becollaborative, team-oriented, and a strong problem-solver.
Responsibilities:
- Manageday-to-dayunit operations, includingstaffing, patient care coordination, and scheduling.
- Develop and implementcost-effective strategieswhile maintaining top-tier patient care.
- Establish strong working relationships withpatients, physicians, employees, and senior leadership.
- Leadperformance evaluations, staff development, and regulatory compliance efforts.
- Driveprocess improvementsto enhance the overallquality of care.
What Were Looking For:
- Must have served as a Nurse Manager for at least 1 full year in the last 3 years.
- 2-3 years of recent acute care leadership experiencein a Blood Cancer or Stem Cell Unit.
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Active TX RN license (or compact eligibility).
- BLS & ACLS certification required (or within 12 months of hire).
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
