Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a full‑time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit (STC‑5).
ScheduleFull Time – Days and Nights available – 36 hours per week.
Unit SummaryThis 36‑bed telemetry monitored nursing unit provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from adults to geriatrics. The conditions within the scope of service for STC‑5 include but are not limited to the following:
- Wide variety of medical diagnoses; many patients come from the ICU, especially the MICU.
- Patients requiring medication regimens.
- Patients with impaired respiratory status.
- Patients requiring airborne, contact, and/or droplet precautions.
- Patients requiring nutritional support.
- Patients requiring wound and skin care.
- Diagnostic procedures such as thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, central line placement, paracentesis, angio‑cath insertion, pacemaker, and specimen collection.
- Patients requiring NG suction.
- Patients requiring cardiac monitoring.
- Patients with GI abnormalities.
- Severe sepsis.
- Bi‑PAP machines (external vent).
- CHF.
- Multi‑organ failure points.

Requirementsof the Ideal Candidate
- Graduate of an RN School of Nursing.
- ADN required; BSN preferred.
- Active RN license.
- Minimum of 6 months of RN experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited program.
- Specialized field of study should be nursing.
- RN license.
- Must have BLS certification or obtain it within 30 days of starting in this role.
