Position Summary
  • The Registered Nurse will support Alive and Well’s Functional Medicine practice, working directly with providers to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • This role combines clinical expertise with compassionate communication to guide patients through their functional medicine journey.
  • The RN will assist with procedures, coordinate care, educate patients on protocols and treatment plans, and ensure smooth operations within the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in coordination with functional medicine providers.
  • Prepare patients for appointments, including vitals, intake, and documentation.
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, protocols, and follow-up care.
  • Support providers with charting, documentation, and clinical workflows.
  • Assist in managing lab draws, specimen handling, and test processing.
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to clinical needs or escalations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Background in integrative, holistic, or functional medicine strongly preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with providers, patients, and team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • EMR experience and comfort with technology.
  • Knowledge of supplements and specialty lab testing protocols.
  • Qualifications - Active Texas RN license in good standing required.
  • 6+ years of nursing experience (clinic or outpatient setting preferred).
  • CPR / BLS certification required.
