Registered Nurse, RN (Full Time-Days) - Surgery CVOR

Work Location:

8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231.

Work Hours:

Full time- 40 Hours/week;
Monday-Friday - On call and holiday coverage required

• Texas Health Dallas has 24 Main OR Suites, 2 Endovascular rooms, 3 Robot rooms, 2 Heart rooms.
• Fast paced, high volume of open vascular, endo vascular, and hearts
• Level I Trauma facility. Strong minimally invasive CV program

• Associate degree Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
• BSN (Preferred)
• 1 Year experience as a registered nurse in the operating room or completion of an RN OR residency program (Required)
• CV experience is not required.
• RN - Registered Nurse (Required upon hire)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required upon hire)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Upon hire preferred)

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• OR RN Surgery Circulator duties and skills
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
