Overview
Family First Homecare provides exceptional home‑care services to children with lifelong health conditions. We are seeking a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) to deliver high‑quality in‑home nursing care to pediatric patients located in Arlington, TX (76010). The position focuses on weekend night shifts (7p.m.–7a.m.) and welcomes new graduates. It offers comprehensive training, 24/7 management support, and a 1:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio.
Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing services within scope of practice, following Family First Homecare policies, state Nurse Practice Acts, and all applicable regulations.
- Maintain updated clinical records and meet documentation deadlines.
- Evaluate nursing service effectiveness and consult with physicians on patient‑care plan changes.
- Report changes in care to the nurse supervisor.
- Mentor and coach new employees during patient‑specific orientations.
- Educate patients and caregivers on care topics.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
- Complete all mandatory training and in‑services.
- Submit required personnel file documentation promptly.
- Adhere to compliance, ethics, confidentiality, and professional communication standards.
- LPN/LVN nursing degree.
- Unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of employment or a multi‑state license via the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Minimum 1year of demonstrated experience.
- Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance (state requirements vary).
- Clear background screening and relevant state‑specific screenings (HepB, TB, etc.).
- Current CPR certification with in‑person instructor‑led skills check.
- Working knowledge of Nurse Practice Acts.
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.
