Position: RN Supervisor- Dallas Medical City

Overview

Full‑time Monday‑Friday 8:30 am‑5 pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Location:

Dallas Medical City.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all activities related to nursing functions and patient care within budgetary constraints.
  • Adhere to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
  • Supervise nursing staff providing professional nursing care to patients.
  • Recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and support the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
  • Oversee clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.
  • Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics and maintain effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs within budgetary parameters.
  • Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.
  • Coordinate, implement, and assist with staff training, in‑services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff.
  • Assist with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff.
  • Serve as mentor/preceptor and provide day‑to‑day guidance to less experienced nurses.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Minimum 5 years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least 3 years in oncology.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
  • Current or pending oncology certification preferred.
  • Chemotherapy Immunotherapy provider card preferred.
Working Conditions

Traditional office environment with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology clinic environment.

Physical Requirements

A large percent of time is spent performing computer‑based work. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing, walking for extensive periods, and occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
