Position: Hospice Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Full-Time

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respected hospice provider in Dallas, TX to find a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) who is dedicated to delivering exceptional end-of-life care. If you're passionate about supporting patients and families while working alongside a collaborative clinical team, we'd love to connect with you. Reporting to the MD of Hospice, the LVN provides skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering compassionate hospice services in patients' homes and care facilities.

You'll support care plan implementation, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and help ensure every patient receives high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver skilled nursing care following directions of an RN & the patient's plan of care
  • Assist the RN with care coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and self-care
  • Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Support infection control and regulatory compliance
  • Assist with end-of-life care and patient advocacy
  • Promote quality care and agency values
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

  • Graduate of an accredited Vocational Nursing program
  • Active Texas LVN license and current CPR certification
  • 2+ years of clinical LVN experience required;
    Hospice or home health experience preferred
  • Valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift, up to 50 lbs and safely transfer patients as needed
  • Ability to travel locally throughout the assigned service area
  • Compassion, professionalism, adaptability & ability to work independently and as part of team
  • Strong communication, team-work, critical thinking & problem-solving skills
  • Flexible schedule with PRN emergency call participation
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, emotionally demanding environments
  • Must pass a background check and provide TB and Hepatitis documentation
