Position Overview

Job Title: Staff Nurse – 0635 (Nursing)

Department: Nursing

Reports To: Nurse Manager;
Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

Hours of Work: 07:00–17:30, Monday to Sunday

Location: Methodist Charlton Medical Center, Cedar Hill, Texas

In this highly technical, fast‑paced nursing position, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient‑centered care. You will be responsible for delivering compassionate care, improving the patient experience, and collaborating to build a winning team.

• Communicate clearly and openly within the care team and with patients and families.
• Build collaborative relationships and promote teamwork.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and supervise assigned team members; collaborate with multidisciplinary staff for appropriate care.
• Assist in patient/ family education and maintain therapeutic environment.
• Ensure accurate, timely written documentation of patient information.
• Administer medication and IV therapy safely and accurately.
• Utilize the nursing process to deliver quality care throughout the episode of care.
• Take initiative for professional growth and stay current with nursing standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising nurse manager.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS).
• Additional certifications required by department.
• Minimum 12months RN experience or completion of a nurse residency program.
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards.
• Ability to work with confidential material.

Environmental Demands: 100% indoor; no outdoor work. No hot or cold environment exposure.
