Registered Nurse
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing quality care in the Labor and Delivery specialty. The role involves caring for patients during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases. The nurse will assist with high-risk deliveries and support patients in their birthing experience. They will perform assessments, monitor fetal heart rates, and manage labor medications. The nurse will also be involved in the care of newborns, facilitating breastfeeding support, and providing education to new parents.
Clinical competencies include administering medications, managing IV lines, and supporting various delivery methods, including cesarean sections. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays, may be required. Interdisciplinary support will be available for enhanced patient care. Candidates must be familiar with the necessary equipment and procedures relevant to labor and delivery care.
