Position: Travel Nurse RN - NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - $1,745 per week

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU – Neonatal Intensive Care for a four‑week assignment in Dallas, Texas.

Job Summary

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position in Dallas, Texas. The role involves providing specialized care for preemies and infants with complex medical needs in an active level III NICU unit. The assignment offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and collaborate within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care for neonates, including preemies and infants with complex medical conditions.
  • Manage central lines, respiratory support (intubated patients), and perform respiratory management using CPAP, bubble CPAP, and ventilators.
  • Administer medications and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Float to other pediatric units such as Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatrics, and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CICU) as required.
  • Utilize equipment such as nasal cannula, bubble CPAP, vents, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and isolettes.
  • Document patient care in systems including CPN and Meditech.
Qualifications
  • Valid nursing license in Texas.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • At least 1 year of neonatal intensive care experience.
  • Experience caring for preemies (≥28 weeks gestation).
    Preferred: Experience with surgical and cardiac patients, trach infants, broviacs, and procedures such as central line insertions, circumcisions, exploratory laparotomies, gastroschisis reductions, and PDA ligations.
